NOW that’s the view I’d like from my office window… This was snapped during a brief stop for lunch on the way to Grantley Adams International Airport in Barbados.

I was on my way back home in January 2019 after cruising round the Caribbean Sea on board P&O cruise ship Azura and catching the West Indies defeat of England in the Test Match at Bridgetown’s Kensington Oval.

I can’t remember the name of the place but it was on the East coast of the island and we dined on a terrace, eating seafood and fresh fruit as we listened to the waves licking the beach.

Then, all too soon, it was time to return to the Great British winter.
