SOMETHING monstrous is happening in the city of Lincoln. Historic buildings and landmarks are soon to be invaded by giant monsters straight out of a sci-fi fan’s fevered fantasy dream.

The Lincoln Monster Invasion – it does what it says on the tin, to borrow the famous ad motto – will run during the school half-term holiday break from October 23 to 29 this year.

Eight gigantic inflatable monsters will invade rooftops from Castle Square, all the way down to the University of Lincoln, in a spooktacular supported by Lincoln Business Improvement Group.

In addition, special guests will include the Ghostbusters in their Ecto-1 vehicle, and there’ll be a Monster Mash flashmob, too. For dates and times head to the Visit Lincolnshire website.
